Aquatic Stage Staff

The Aquatic Stage Staff supports Entertainment Technical Operations in delivering high-quality entertainment experiences to guests. The Aquatic Stage Staff primarily assists the underwater and backstage operations of the Aqua Theater. Additionally, the Aquatic Stage Staff assists the Entertainment Technical Operations across multiple venues during rehearsals and performances. This position may support other members of the Entertainment Technical Team, Group Coordinator and the Entertainment Division’s Management Team by assisting the live music and entertainment program around the ship within available working hours.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (or the international equivalent) in Theatre or Production Arts with Theatre Technology focus from an accredited university or professional experience working as a stagehand providing audio and lighting support is preferred.

Experience as a Stage Technician strongly preferred.

Minimum Open Water certified by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) or other globally recognized equivalent diving agency is required (SSI, SDI, NAUI).

Diversified and documented diving experience or prior professional experience working underwater.

Works well with a team: collaborative, communicates promptly and accurately, adaptable, motivated to learn from peers and supervisors.

Must have the ability to dive utilizing SCUBA apparatus, including full face mask, and work under water in a confined freshwater pool for up to 60 minutes or more during a live performance.

All applicants will need to be ready with a video (4-5 minutes long) showcasing diving skills.

Applicants without a diving certification and a video will not be considered for the role.
