Lead, Digital Strategy

POSITION SUMMARY:The Lead Digital Strategy leads specific project or study components of digital strategy for the Digital organization reporting to the Director Digital Strategy. A strong component of the role is to lead specific business analysis and questions through hypothesis, research, analysis, collaboration and education, conclusion, and communication independently. Assignments could include: portions of eCommerce Strategy, leading key areas of functional strategies (for business units across the company) as they consider how to leverage digital capability and integrate leading practices into their business model, conduct competitive analysis and assess RCCLs position, collaborate with others to draw conclusions and represent complex positions.

List the 8-10 key areas of responsibility in descending order, with the responsibility requiring the most amount of time first. Use specific action verbs such as manages, analyzes, files, etc.
Creates a hypothesis drafts a plan to analyze and defend the position.
Conduct challenging strategic analysis and problem solving with limited support.
Contributes to a complex dialog with company executives through key challenges, strategic options, and possible outcomes
Represents individual findings, which take into consideration multiple perspectives and workstreams, into presentations of strategic narratives and conclusions appropriate for all levels of the company
Analyses competitive data to understand RCCLs relative performance
Creates specific recommendation with recommended approaches to achieve them
Collaborates across multiple functional domains fluently and easily and facilitates difficult conversations to logical and objective conclusions while establishing key goals to move forward
Negotiates successfully to the best outcome for RCCL
Developing a high level of business acumen
Understands complex political situations and is able to develop a path leading to the best objective outcome for RCCL
Plans for own skill development, career progression, and ethical decision making in partnership with manager
Studies and any work to represent the Digital organization to Corporate Strategy, the annual planning process, or to the planning and program oversight for other business organizations

List any responsibilities for budget, expenses and/or achievement of revenue targets in US Dollars.

MBA or equivalent plus 2-4 years work experience
Experience with Digital capabilities as well as Agile approaches
2 years management consulting with recognized firm or equivalent corporate/business experience
Knowledge area of business area (sales, marketing, finance, planning, operations, other)
Project management experience leading challenging projects to successful outcome.
Highly organized and dependable for multiple responsibilities

Able to work in the areas of corporate strategy, business and operating strategy, digital strategy
Complex business analysis including hypothesis-driven approaches
High degree of business acumen and expertise in one or more functional domains (sales, marketing, finance, revenue management, operations, etc.)
1-2 years of successful team management of high profile and the most challenging business problems
Teamwork and collaboration with coworkers of all levels of the organization
Executive presence
Advanced negotiation skills
Knowledge of Digital capabilities and business transformation as a result of digital
Senior level communication and presentation skills
Strategic thinking, finance, economics, business operations (multi-domain)
Microsoft Office (365) applications and/or Google equivalents
Able to work independently with multiple assignments meeting multiple deliverable responsibilities

Work is performed in an office environment generally and may require light lifting/carrying to set up facilities for business purposes. Role requires an ability to travel domestically and/or internationally at times to support business purposes in addition to maintaining a regular work schedule. Other role assignments may include project work shipside and will require the ability to perform responsibilities in the conditions onboard ships.

Majority of work takes place at RCCLs Port location with selected assignments in other domestic/international locations and/or shipside.
Select assignments may require partial to significant time shipside as well as at other RCCL operating locations domestically and internationally
