Who we are looking for: Analysts for January 2018 & May 2018. Seeking December 2017 and May 2018 graduating students.
About the Program
The RCL Finance Rotational Program is a two-year rotational program sponsored by Jason Liberty, CFO of Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD and based in Miami, Florida. The program is designed to build future leaders for the Finance Organization. You will be hired as an Analyst with the opportunity to rotate in the areas of Accounting, Audit, Corporate Planning, Deployment, Revenue Planning, Mergers and Acquisition, and Treasury. Based on departmental availability, participants will spend time working in four of these functional areas, becoming familiar with the core financial drivers of the company, financial operations, revenue optimization and fleet deployment strategy, to name a few. You will also receive comprehensive training in all areas in which you will be rotating. Training will be based in our Miami offices. All the while, you will gain exposure to the C-suite, key decision makers in the brands, and gain unparalleled cross-departmental knowledge that will position you for an accelerated career path in Finance. Upon completion of the program, youll have the opportunity to assume a Sr. Analyst or Manager role at RCL.
Accounting - The Analyst will have controllership-like accountability over all shipboard revenues and expenses for assigned ships or requiring a specialized skill set for specific multi-million dollar revenue and/ or expense categories of the Royal Caribbean Brands. The Analyst will be responsible for adhering to Sarbanes Oxley controls, accounting policies and principles as well as departmental procedures as determined by Management. This position requires interaction with shipboard personnel, Operating and Financial groups, Information Technology, Purchasing, Treasury, external vendors and/or Revenue Partners.
Audit -The Analyst will have an opportunity to provide an independent and objective evaluation of the internal control environment through audits focusing on: reliability/integrity of financial and operational information, effectiveness and efficiency of operations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with laws, and regulations and contracts.
Corporate Planning - The Analyst will have the opportunity to provide detailed financial analysis to senior management for all entities under Royal Caribbean Corporation while delivering historical and current analytics to support forecasts and long range projections. Leads team of analysts in delivering accurate and timely reporting on corporate earnings while benchmarking performance between brands and to our competitors. They will also be a key part in creating a 5 year strategic financial plan providing senior management and the board of directors a clear vision of the Company's future earnings.
What we are looking for:
Treasury - As an Analyst in Treasury, you will have the opportunity to interact with external banking partners and internally with various departments across the company. Internal departments look to Treasury as the subject matter expert for banking related matters. You may be working on daily management of cash, processing of Treasury payments, spot trading of foreign currencies and short term liquidity forecasting. Other responsibilities include coordinating with Corporate Accounting to record Treasury initiated transactions to the general ledger, the input and maintenance of transactional data in the Treasury workstation and the management/maintenance of bank accounts within the bank account relationship databases.
Revenue Planning - Deployment Operations Analyst is a key contributor to the overall success of the Department and the efficient delivery of our itineraries. The role is primarily responsible for communicating and coordinating the berthing for the more than 400 ports which our companys ships visit for the thousands of different sailings each year. The Analyst is responsible for strategy, development, refinement and maintenance of each brand's unique portfolio of cruise products. This small team interacts with all brands and across a broad group of cross functional areas.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, and/or quantitative degree program.
- MBA or Graduate degree Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, and/or quantitative degree program preferred
- GPA of 3.5 or higher, and proven leadership skills either in school or professional experience.
