Engine Cadet

Position Summary:

The Engine Cadet is a temporary training position focused on gaining shipboard knowledge, sea time, and practical experience. The cadet works on a structured training program aligned with the engine officer training requirements of STCW and their respective maritime administration. The primary goal is to develop the skills necessary for progression to higher engineering ranks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Engine Cadet reports directly to the Chief Engineer Junior, who monitors and supervises training activities. All task assignments are issued by the Chief Engineer Junior or their delegates.

All assigned tasks are to be performed in accordance with Royal Caribbean Group's The Royal Way, SQM standards, USPH guidelines, environmental, and safety policies.

Employees may be required to perform functions across various service venues and throughout the ship.
