Photo Manager

The Photo Manager oversees the ship’s photo operation and reports to shoreside Photo Operations Management, and onboard to the Marketing & Revenue Manager. Responsibilities include business planning, customer service, driving sales and achieving budget, photo lab &photo gallery operations, accounting, scheduling, reporting, staff training and development, succession planning, liaising with onboard and shore-side teams, environmental compliance, inventory control, marketing and promoting all areas of the photo operation and driving the business forward in accordance with the company’s goals.

 The position is responsible for the co-ordination of production, merchandising and sales to maximize profits for the onboard Photo Department. The Photo Manager must work towards achieving profitable results for Royal Caribbean International while maintaining full compliance and professional integrity of all policies. The position is expected to project the highest level of professionalism to the staff and guest while offering quality Customer Service to all.

PhysicalRequirements:

 While performingthe duties of this job, the shipboard employee is regularly required to stand;walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk orhear; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this jobinclude close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception and ability to adjust focus

Extensive travelfrom ship to ship with varying accommodations and resting opportunities requiregood health. Active management of health through diet and exercise is a key forprolonged success in the position.

All shipboard employeesmust be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures anddrills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal andhearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event ofan emergency including the lowering of lifeboats.  The employee must have the ability to liftand/or move up to 50 pounds.
