Assistant Pastry Chef

The Assistant Pastry Chef manages the production, quality, and display of pastries for the pastry shop and all buffet lines, working in conjunction with the Pastry Chef to direct, coach, support, supervise, and evaluate the performance of direct reports. He/she assists the Pastry Chef with food requisitions, reports, and transportation of pastries; ensures the cleanliness of the pastry shop and all related workstations; and controls costs through accurate forecast and requisition. Requirements for this role include experience as a Head Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service; a culinary school degree; and strong management, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
