Mess Attendant

Mess Attendants provide food and beverage services in the Crew, Officers, and Staff dining room as well as various cafes, restaurants, and other food and beverage venues, while acting in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Their responsibilities and essential duties include interacting with guests or fellow shipboard employees, and becoming familiar with menu descriptions and beverage lists in order to discuss items appropriately with officers and staff. Mess Attendants follow company standards, USPH and HACCP guidelines, and environmental, and work place safety policies and procedures. Candidates must have two to three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a four- or five-star restaurant, hotel, or cruise ship.
